This is the path the old KTM Railway used to take from Tanjong Pagar, through a land corridor up to Woodlands and then over the Causeway to Malaya. After the lease ended the line was turned into park of sorts to allow anyone to walk from Tanjong Pagar to where the corridor ends in Kranji, or walk from Kranji back to Tanjong Pagar. The first part from Tanjong Pagar to Bukit Timah Railway Station has a metalled surface and is easy to negotiate, but after the Hillview MRT station it is just a rough track till you get to the Pang Sua PCN where I lost the track due to a construction site, picking it up after crossing a bridge. It was another rough track for several kilometres before getting to the Kranji section. Once past Hillview MRT there is little shade and almost nowhere to stop and rest, nowhere to take on water. Quite desolate in places but a great way to walk the old line. After Hillview I hardly saw anyone on the corridor. If you walk it take plenty of water. I clocked up 24 kilometres and it took me 6 hours.
